SPA DE BOURGTHEROULDE – Rouen (76)

The work mastery SLIH wanted us to deal with a castle from the Renaissance which stands on La Pucelle square of Rouen. The spa and pool are independent. The wellness area is located in the castle basement. The pool is lit by an enormous skylight made by a glass-tile ceiling overlooking the hotel atrium. We focused on a single material which is the Vals stone onto walls, floors, and pool in order to create a unity and a monolithic effect. The lightwork and the water streaming at the entrance waterfall wakes the bathers’ senses up. The contract included massages rooms, bodycare rooms, a pool, playful showers, a Turkish bath, a sauna and a fitness center.
