Lille-based interior designer Guillaume Da Silva undertook the transformation of a villa in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage (59), on the Côte d'Opale. Starting with an existing building entrusted by the client, the agency combined the client's desires, its know-how and its sensitivity to metamorphose volumes, harmonize materials and make light vibrate: the magic of transformation is at work!
Modern materials for a clean design
This '80s villa, with its pinkish-beige faux tommette tiles, contrasted with the minimalist, contemporary approach sought for this project. Guillaume Da Silva Architectures Intérieurs opted for coral-colored Kerlite in 100 x 100 cm format for the living room, lounge and kitchen floors. Thanks to its thinness, this innovative material enabled rapid renovation without removing the existing support, ensuring that deadlines and budgets were respected. The soft, monolithic aesthetic of the mineral surface perfectly matches the agency's expectations, with a uniform finish that accentuates space and light.
For the bathrooms, Kerlite Snow was used for the floors and walls, with 300 x 100 cm slabs cut to the exact millimetre. The result is an immaculate, homogeneous whiteness, with virtually no visible joints, where the surfaces blend harmoniously with the ceiling paint for a striking effect of purity.
