The Guillaume Da Silva Architecture Intérieure agency assisted the Tikamoon brand with its second Parisian location, located on Avenue de l'Opéra, in the heart of Paris. Specializing in sustainable solid wood furniture, the Lille-based brand called on Guillaume Da Silva for the third time to translate its authentic, warm, and committed universe into this prestigious and strategic location.
An indoor tree, a powerful symbol of Tikamoon's identity
To make the space truly immersive, the interior designer came up with an architectural concept with strong symbolic and poetic significance.
In the center of the store, a monumental tree becomes the centerpiece of the project.
Made from reclaimed wood sourced from the Tikamoon recycling center, it embodies the brand's founding values: sustainability, upcycling, and reuse.
This visually striking sculptural work was made possible thanks to the expertise of two cabinetmakers, who rose to an ambitious technical and aesthetic challenge:
- 17,800 pieces of wood assembled
- 18 kilometers of solid wood trimming
- 37,000 nails needed to make it
A true focal point, this tree naturally draws the eye from the street and structures the space. It embodies both the conceptual identity of the store and the brand's narrative, highlighting the beauty of the assemblies and the nobility of the solid wood species.
The architectural concept: the elegance of full beige
In order to give the furniture on display center stage, Guillaume Da Silva opted for a deliberately understated architectural style.
The interior designer refrained from using wood in the building's exterior, thus avoiding any visual competition with the solid wood furniture.
Following on from the first stores in Paris and Lille, this sustainable concept store is based on a "full beige" envelope, designed as a neutral and elegant setting:
- polished concrete floors,
- walls painted with lime,
- ceilings and technical elements painted in a matching beige.
This understated, mineral palette echoes Tikamoon's noble materials and creates a soft, soothing, and timeless atmosphere.
A project space and materials library dedicated to customers
For this new store layout, the interior design agency wanted to go beyond the simple shopping experience. A project area allows customers to imagine their future interior designs, accompanied by the brand's teams.
The materials library offers visitors the opportunity to touch, assemble, and compare materials used in furniture and countertops. A sample cabinet in the shape of a central island, with soft, organic lines, displays house plans and facilitates discussions about decoration and interior design projects.
The result: an immersive and unique experience, far removed from the traditional codes of furniture stores. An enveloping, calm, and inspiring space that fully reflects Tikamoon's DNA.
