Between history and modernity: a thread inspired by Rouen
The client, SLIH, wanted us to invest in a Renaissance château located on Place de la Pucelle in Rouen. The aim was to find a common thread that would enable this private mansion, built in the XVIᵉ century, to find its continuity and its reality as a luxury hotel today. The thinking revolves around movement, the colors that dress the twelve-meter high ceilings in the atrium. Images of magisterial, theatrical and historic space overlap.
The story takes shape around these themes and references to Rouen, Joan of Arc and the Place de la Pucelle, which are echoed in the project's interior architecture.
